The country's biggest name in music, a top-selling recording artist, is taking his friends, a team of three musical experts, who will help him find new talent - a female singer, who'll become his protégée, and have her debut album produced by our artist himself.

Play/Record is a 3 hour, daily, live broadcast, set entirely in the recording Studio. In each episode ten contestants perform two songs before the panel. Two are selected daily to reach the weekly finals. From there on, they will compete for a place in the season finale. The audience at home can interact with the show and try to influence the artist's decisions.

But, Play/Record is more than just a talent competition. It is a celebration of music, hosting well known and new artists and featuring live numbers in the studio. All that's left for the viewer is to sit back, relax, and enjoy hours of great music and entertainment.
