The Island:

A dramatic series for teens that combines mystery, action and time-travel. The series takes place in the year 2012 on the last island remaining after an asteroid destroyed planet Earth in 2009. Several hundred years later, the civilization that developed on the island has invented a time machine and returned to 2012. The people living on the island are a group of children who were sent there in advance, before the asteroid hit. The children are the heroes of the series and their goal is to return to 2009 and intercept the asteroid before it hits Earth.

The heroes tackle moral issues such as distinguishing between good and bad, team work and acquiring values, all while trying to save the world.

The series was created and written by Giora Chamizer, creator of successful teen shows, including "The Eight," for which he won the Israel Television Academy's award for best screenwriter of a children's series.

"The Island" Season 1, 2 and 3 was broadcasted on Hot Cable television's Children's Channel (produced for Noga Communications) 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2010.
